Dirt Work and Site Prep in Lincoln, AR

Dirt work in Lincoln, AR. We cut pads for shops and houses. We grade so water runs away from the building, not under it. We put in gravel driveways and haul off what is in the way. And we pour the concrete too, so the pad is built for what is going on top of it.

Twenty years of dirt work out of Lincoln. The crew that cuts your pad pours your slab

  • 1crew

    Dirt work and concrete

Around here those are usually two different companies. One crew does both, so the pad is level when the concrete arrives.

  • 3states

Northwest Arkansas, southern Missouri, eastern Oklahoma

Most of our work is around Washington County, out of our yard in Lincoln.

  • 6trades

One number for all of it

Concrete, dirt work, land clearing, demolition, cutting and coring, barndominiums. (479) 263-6916.

What’s included

Here’s what we do when you call about dirt work

Pads, drainage, driveways and hauling, all from one crew.

  • Building pads

Cut and packed to size. Close enough is not a size.

  • Grading and drainage

Water runs away from your building, not under it.

  • Gravel driveways

New gravel in, and rutted ones brought back level.

  • Haul in, haul off

Gravel and fill in. Spoil, brush and debris out.

  • Trenching and backfill

Water, sewer and electric runs dug in and covered.

When you need it

When do you need dirt work?

If any of this sounds like your place, the ground comes first. Give us a call and we’ll come out and look.

  • Rainwater standing in wide puddles across a lawn between trees and houses

    Water stands after a rain

Puddles against the house, beside the shop or across the drive mean the ground sends water the wrong way.

  • A puddle of water in a hole worn into a gravel road

    The driveway keeps washing out

Gravel that ruts every storm has no base under it or nowhere for the water to go. More gravel will not hold.

  • Wooden survey stakes with orange tape set out in bare sandy ground under a blue sky

    You are about to build

A shop, a house or a slab needs a pad cut and compacted to its size before a concrete truck is ever booked.

  • A dump truck tipping a load of soil onto open ground

    The ground has been filled

Dirt that was dumped and never compacted keeps settling under whatever you put on it, slab included.

  • A backyard overgrown with tall weeds and grass beside a wooden deck

A machine cannot get back there

Brush, a bank or a wet spot in the way has to be dealt with before anything else can happen on the lot.

  • Workers in an open trench laying a new pipe beside the old one

Utilities have to cross the site

Water, sewer and electric runs get trenched and backfilled before the pad and the drive go in, never after.

Why it matters

Skip the dirt work and here’s what happens

  • The slab cracks

A pad that settles takes the slab down with it.

  • Water finds the building

A slope toward the wall sends every rain to it.

  • The driveway washes out again

No base and no drainage, so the gravel moves again.

  • Fix it later, lose the slab

Cheap before the pour. Expensive after it.

We pour the concrete too, so the pad is built for what is going on top of it.

What makes us different

Here’s what’s different about hiring us for dirt work

Three things, and every one of them is how we already work.

  • Pad cut by one guy, poured by another?

Not here. The crew that cuts your pad pours your slab, so the ground's right when the concrete arrives.

  • Tired of chasing a crew from out of town?

Our yard's in Lincoln, and the crew that quotes your dirt work is the crew on the machines.

  • Worried the gravel and fill will add up?

We look first and price it before a machine comes. Gravel, fill and dump fees sit on their own line.

How it works

What Happens After You Call

Three steps, and the only one you do is the first.

  1. Call and say what is
    going on the ground

A new shop pad, a house pad, a gravel drive, or a wet spot that never dries. Call or send the form and say what you need.

  2. We come out, look it
    over, then price it

We check the slope, where the water goes and how a machine gets in, then price it before the job starts, gravel and fill on their own line.

  3. We do the work and
    leave it like we said

Pad cut and packed to size, water sent away from the building, the drive graded and leveled. Then we clean up and go.

FAQ

Before You Give Us a Call

If yours isn't here, call us and ask.

  • Yes. Around here they are mostly two different companies. We do both, with the same crew. The pad gets cut, filled and compacted to the size and height the slab needs, and then we pour on it. One company on site, and one number to call if anything is wrong.

  • Yes. We put in new gravel driveways, and we bring old ones that have washed into ruts back to level with the right base under them. Which yours needs, nobody can tell off a photo. We come out and look, including at where the water is going now, and you get a price before anything starts.

  • We haul off what is in the way. Spoil, brush and old material go out with us. Dump fees on anything hauled off are a separate charge. We list them as their own line rather than bury them, because they move with what the job turns out to need. You get a price before anything starts.

  • We'll tell you. We come out and look at the job first, and if yours needs a permit we'll say so at the visit, not halfway through it.

  • In the price: the site visit, the machine and the operator, the cut and fill, compaction, and the ground left the shape we agreed. Charged separately: gravel, base rock, fill and topsoil brought in, and dump fees on anything hauled off. Those are listed as their own line rather than buried, because they move with what the job turns out to need.

  • Yes. Water, sewer and electric runs get dug in and backfilled while the machine is on site, before the pad and the drive go in, not after. Septic system design and surveying aren't us. If your job needs one of those we'll say so at the visit.
